Introduction
BASF was the first company to introduce a phytase product for animal feed. Natuphos is authorised for use in the EU in piglets, pigs for fattening, sows, and various avian species. The Natuphos® product range offers various products available in different concentrations, both as granules and as liquids.

Aspergillus niger, (CBS 101.672)
Product storage stability
Granulated product: After 18 months, the product retained 89% of its activity when stored at 20°C, and at 35°C, it retained 84 %.
Liquid product: After nine months, the product retained approx. 90% of the activity when stored at 20°C.
Storage stability in premix and feed
When stored in a premix for six months or complete feed for three months at 20°C the residual phytase activity was 95 %
Heat stability
It is not recommended to use temperatures above 85 °C during the pelleting process.
The Natuphos L product range is recommended for use when the pelleting temperature exceeds 85 C. The Natuphos L should be sprayed on the pellets after the pelleting procedure.
